Amino Resin

Amino resin is one of the main varieties of thermosetting synthetic resin. Due to its brittleness and poor adhesion, the coating cannot be prepared alone, but it can be used in combination with alkyd resin to make a coating with good performance. This is because the methylol group of the amino resin and the hydroxyl group of the alkyd resin are crosslinked under heating conditions cured into a film. As a result of the mixed use of the two resins, the alkyd resin improves the brittleness and adhesion of the amino resin, while the amino resin improves the hardness, gloss, acid resistance, alkali resistance, water resistance, and oil resistance of the alkyd resin.

 

Amino resin paint usually refers to the coating that uses amino resin as a crosslinking agent, cooperates with other matrix resins, and bakes at a certain temperature to form a tough three-dimensional structure coating. Therefore, the application of amino resin in the coating industry as follows:

 

1. Amino varnish contains a high amount of amino resin. They have the advantages of good moisture resistance, strong adhesion, hard and wear-resistant, bright and plump. It is mostly used for surface finishing. Amino transparent varnishes of various colors are made by adding alcohol-soluble pigments to amino varnishes. The paint film is beautiful, bright, bright, oil-resistant and water-resistant. It is suitable for the decoration of watch cases, hot water bottles, bicycles, various signs, cultural and educational supplies, etc.

 

2. Amino baking varnish is one of the high-grade baking varnishes, which can be divided into three types: glossy, semi-glossy and matt. Bright baking varnish contains less pigment (parts), has good adhesion and corrosion resistance, is bright and colorful, and is mostly used in daily light industrial products.

 

3. Amino insulating varnish is divided into two types: amino alkyd insulating varnish and polyimide insulating varnish. Amino insulating varnish is widely used. It has good dryness, oil resistance, arc resistance, and strong adhesion. It is usually a Class B insulating material and is widely used in various insulating motors and electrical windings. Polyimide insulating varnish is a kind of insulating varnish with high temperature resistance and excellent radiation resistance. It is mainly used as the insulating layer of special motors and electrical appliances used in high temperature environments.
